The first rehearsal will be in the Great Hall at 8pm, Tuesday, September 25th. To welcome new members and open the season a pizza party will immediately follow the first rehearsal courtesy of the HHO Executive Committee. Stick around to meet and mingle!

Note that sheet music cannot be taken home until the memberships fees are remitted at the Porter's Desk. Please review the [ Membership Fee ] page for more details.

Regular Rehearsals

Every Tuesday Evening, 8:00 pm – 10:15 pm

January 4/2011 to April 5/2011 (with no rehearsal on February 22/2011, reading week)

Concerts and Weekend Rehearsals

Fall Concert Weekend Rehearsal: Sunday, November 7, 2010. 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Fall Concert #1: Thursday November 18, 2010. 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Fall Concert #2: Saturday November 20, 2010. 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

The Hart House Orchestra inaugurated the K. Alan Turner Prize on March 26th, 1992 at its Spring concert. The prize was presented to recognize the long-standing service of Alan Turner to Hart House and to congratulate the winner of the Hart House Orchestra Members Concerto Competition.¹ (At that time, the competition was open to members of the Hart House Orchestra, Chamber Winds, Chamber Strings and Jazz Ensemble.) K. Alan Turner was elected to the Hart House Music Committee in 1943 while studying electrical engineering at the University of Toronto.
